At HEGG, we believe our employees are the heart and soul of our organization. Today, we’d like to introduce you to a dynamic member of our team, Maddy Bauman, our Director of Hospitality Development, who has been part of the HEGG family for the past 6 years. Hear from Maddy’s point-of-view below.
“I am Maddy Bauman, the Director of Hospitality Development at HEGG. Having been a part of the HEGG family for the past six years, I’m thrilled to share my experiences and journey with you.
What drives me every day is my passion for people and my commitment to becoming a better version of myself. As Thomas Jefferson once said, “The harder I work, the more luck I seem to have,” and this has become my life mantra. Working at HEGG is a dynamic experience, presenting new opportunities each day to create meaningful experiences for our clients. Whether it’s developing team members, problem-solving, or strategically planning to drive year-over-year revenue growth, each day at HEGG is unique.
One surprising aspect of my job is the ever-evolving nature of solutions. What worked yesterday may not be work today, as we are in a constant phase of learning, adapting, and evolving. This pace keeps me energized and focused. Among the many exciting projects I’ve been involved in, organizing our annual holiday party is particularly close to my heart. Each year, we aim to exceed expectations and infuse more creativity and innovation into our theme.
The most rewarding part of my role is witnessing team members express their joy and passion for working with HEGG, envisioning long-term career growth with us. At HEGG, we place immense emphasis on personal and professional growth, fostering a culture that prioritizes continuous advancement. Regular check-ins, personal development goals, participation in a book club, external courses, and involvement in community events ensure our employees are at the forefront of their careers.
What sets us apart in the industry is HEGG’s culture, which emphasizes growth and provides employees with the space to be vulnerable, express themselves, and have a seat at the table. We value our employees and are guided by tangible values every day. One of my favorite memories at HEGG was flying with our leader, Paul, to Minneapolis to meet with Crave. It meant a lot to me that I got one-on-one time with our leader and that he cared about what I cared about.
My journey with HEGG has been and continues to be an enriching experience. The vibrant and nurturing culture, combined with daily opportunities for personal and professional growth, makes HEGG an exceptional place to work. I look forward to more wonderful years as part of this incredible family.”
